On September the eight, 2023, Nugget entered into eternal sleep. He shall be missed by all (at least those who knew him here on the ranch), and perhaps a few others.
Flora, is no more. And shall forever, affectionately, be known as, Cinnamon, Cin, Mini, Tinman. Cinnamon has experienced the ultimate meaning of life; Death. She is healing and knows no boundaries of Love. She has a deep and insatiable need of love for all of life -
Ishpeming (Heaven), the run-a-way, has had a change of heart, as well, a change of moniker; She is no longer, that once thought of slice of heaven - too many negatives involved. She did not live up to the exceedingly large name of Heaven. Instead, she has become Sage, one of my beautiful, spice girlz, who walks the labyrinth with me.
It has been, near a year since the passing of my boy, Nug. Cinnamon and Sage have become older, they are friends, sisters, and companions for the sake of argument. They play, sleep, eat, have each other’s backs, and love together or apart. Their affection toward all life, is as it should be - No malice.
We four females, one cat, two dogs and one human, enjoy our morning stroll, water the gardens, then go on to count our blessings of the day. While the five boys, two horses, three cats, do whatever it is, boys do. At the close of our days together, we typically have an embrace, bathe, relax and even snuggle down for the night, to begin anew on the marrow.
Of course, we all have our differences. We tend to ruffle feathers, eat faster than we should at times, love treats, going for impromptu rides in the 4x4, do not always listen to mom, and offer hugs and amendments to ease the tensions of the day. Of course, it goes without stating, we females possess the ultimate power. One twitch of the upper lip, low rumbling from within, or look that could kill, can bring the house down! Not to worry though, this is not something that occurs on a daily basis, or even often. It appears, that what we are doing, seems to be working for our family, fur unit. For this, I am grateful.
As for me, the mom, I adore writing stories, and snapping pix of my kids inactive or in action - They appeal to my sense of love and mothering. Plus, the activities help to fill my days with a surreal calmness, since the loss of our boy, Nuggy.
Blessings ~
